Joel Domoe & Melanie Myers (Cincinnati) - have been dancing, competing, performing, teaching and studying swing dance constantly in a variety of capacities since 1995. They’ve literally taught thousands of people to swing dance and are excited to be part of the Cincinnati community since moving back in 2006.

Joel and Melanie are partners (along with Terry & Kandy Thompson-Cannon, Jesse Fatherree & Greta Schraer) in producing The SwinGallery, Cincinnati's weekly swing dance event. Joel is the artistic director for the Cincinnati SnapShots Swing Dance Performance Group and also produces (with partner Lisa Huneke) the Flying Pig Jitterbug Jamboree.

Melanie has performed at the White House and the Kennedy Center with the Baltimore Flycats. Joel has performed with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, George Gee's Jump Jive and Wailers, Indigo Swing, Roomful of Blues, and the Cab Calloway Orchestra. Joel has been honored with the status of honorary lifetime member in the Piedmont Swing Dance Society for his contributions building and establishing the swing dance community in the Triad area of North Carolina. Joel and Melanie were also founding members of the Atlanta Swing Era Dance Association (ASEDA).

Among their competitive credits are Joel’s 1999 Virginia State Open Showcase Jitterbug Championship and Melanie’s first place with the Flycats in the 1997 Virginia State Open Team Competition. Together they are the 2000 Atlanta Summer Swing Jam Strictly Lindy Champions.

Joel and Melanie have also been involved with the production of many swing dance events. Both have served as judges for numerous competition events and Joel is the tabulator for the American Lindy Hop Championships in Stamford, CT as well as the MC and Head Judge for Lindy Focus in Asheville, NC over New Year's Eve and the Northeast Lindy Hop Championships at Beantown Lindy Hop Camp in Boston, MA.

Joel and Melanie were married in 2002. Their wedding reception at the Vernon Manor featured John Zappa's jazz combo, Rich Uncle Skeleton. They have two children, Nicole (6) and Jordan (4).

Adam Curry & Lisa Huneke (Cincinnati)
Lisa Huneke has been swing dancing for five years, starting with Ohio State University's Swing Dance Club.  Since her first East Coast lesson, she has learned Lindy Hop, Charleston, Blues, Balboa, Shag, and occasionally likes to pretend to Westie.  She has traveled to many national events and workshops including All Balboa Weekend and The Boston Tea Party to have fun, dance, and learn from the lessons as well as stealing moves while watching people dance.  Living in Cincinnati, she is a member of the Cincinnati SnapShots swing dance troupe, with whom she practices, performs, and competes.  The team recently took first place in the team competition at Swing, IN, where Lisa was also a finalist in the Jack and Jill contest.  She is enjoying taking on more challenges in her dancing – including teaching, DJing, and leading.

Adam Curry
has been swing dancing in the local scene of Cincinnati, OH since 2005.  Since learning East Coast swing from the local instructors, he has learned Lindy Hop, Charleston, (some) Balboa, and Collegiate Shag.  Adam has taught mostly regionally in Ohio and Kentucky, but he has taught as far away as Galway, Ireland in 2007. He has attended many national events such as The Boston Tea Party and Beantown where he has spent his vacation doing what he loves the most.  Adam also attends many social dances throughout the U.S.A. and Canada.  He is a member of the Cincinnati Snapshots dance troupe in which competes and performs in regional (and someday national) events. The team recently took first place at the team competition at Swing, IN. Adam continues to strive to build the swing community in Cincinnati, as well as eager to grow in his teaching abilities and dancing.
